Bio
I'm Allison McDonald, a photographer based out of Rochester, New York. I studied at Monroe Community College (MCC) and The College at Brockport. During my time at MCC I majored in photography and television, then I went on to major in studio art with a photography concentration at while at Brockport. I graduated with the class of 2017.
In my photos, I like to incorporate different elements of nature, beauty, and life experiences. My work takes a deeper look into the beauty and essence of those photographed, alongside the beautiful surroundings of the environment. I use portraiture to explore the lives of the individuals I come across and nature to show change in not only the environment, but the changes we experience throughout life.
Expertise
My work focuses on capturing beauty. To me, there is beauty in any and everything. Whether it's portraiture, lifestyle imagery, or just abstract objects.
I love experimenting with new techniques, angles, and poses. Although I am familiar with both analog and digital technologies, the majority of my work is shot using digital.
